Chairman's Message
Since establishing Watchguard Security in 1993 with a small team of six security guards, our vision has always been to transform the private security industry in Sri Lanka into a highly professional, respected, and technologically advanced sector.
At a time when security services were often limited to basic “watcher” duties, we believed that security personnel should be recognized as trained professionals who play a vital role in protecting people, property, and businesses. This belief has guided the growth and development of Watchguard Security over the past three decades.
Training has always been the foundation of our success. We strongly believe that a
professional security officer must be disciplined, knowledgeable, well-presented, and capable of responding effectively to modern security challenges. For this reason, Watchguard has continuously invested in structured training programs, modern equipment, and professional development.
As part of our commitment to raising industry standards, we have established a dedicated training academy that is registered with the Vocational Training Authority. Through this initiative, our security officers are trained and guided to obtain National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) certifications. This not only enhances their professional skills but also provides them with recognized qualifications that open opportunities both locally and internationally.
We also recognize that the future of security lies in the integration of skilled manpower with modern technology. Through initiatives such as our Man/Machine Mix (M3) concept and advanced electronic security solutions, we continue to deliver smarter and more effective protection for our clients.
Today, Watchguard Security has grown into a trusted organization with an island-wide presence. However, our mission goes beyond business success.
